Information & Referral- Support system designed to assist individuals with disabilities in obtaining information pertaining to their disability related goals and/or refer individuals with disabilities to other agencies and/or individuals that can support them with this endeavor.
Independent Living Skills Training- RAIL has available resources and/or Independent Living Specialists (case managers) that can support individuals with disabilities in achieving independent living skills they require to live as independent as they choose. These can include but are not limited to re-arranging their living environment (including modifications), assistive devices, and learning activities to increase/improve their independence.
Independent Living Skills- RAIL has available resources and/or Independent Living Specials (case managers) that can support individuals with disabilities in achieving independent living skills they require to live as independently as they choose. These can include but are not limited to re-arranging their living environment (including modifications), assistive devices and learning activities to increase/improve their independence.
Advocacy- RAIL provides a support/education system including but not limited to Independent Living Specialists (case managers) to assist individuals with disabilities in their advocacy efforts pertaining to encouraging the removal of institutional barriers, and promoting full inclusion/access for individuals with disabilities of all ages within the communities of their choice.
Peer Support- RAIL has both facilities available to utilize for Peer Support Group Meetings and/or has resources/information, education, and support systems available for individuals with disabilities who express an interest in a disability related Peer Support Group Meeting and/or disability related counseling services (as applicable) that may be available within their communities.
Home Modification Assessments- RAIL’s Assistive Technology/Modification Specialist is available to provide home modification assessments (ADA compliant) including but not limited to ramps, bathrooms, kitchens, and widening of doors. Once the assessments are completed the Specialist provides detailed plans along funding resources to assist with accomplishing the individual’s assessment/accessibility goal. This service is also available to rural housing complexes, rental properties, other agencies and/or businesses and can include ADA compliant assessments.
Bathtub Cuts- Service provided by the Assistive Technology/Modification Specialist that can make a bathtub accessible. The installation of this Tub-Cut provides an affordable option for individuals with disabilities and/or property owners who wish to make their housing units more accessible.
The Tub-Cut is reversible.
Wheelchair Repair Services – These services are provided by RAIL’s trained Assistive Technology/Modification Specialist. This can include replacement parts for wheelchairs and RAIL has available wheelchair batteries. Appointments are required.
